Almond Milk

Here is a delicious drink to serve your guests as well as quench your thirst. With the scent of roses and whiff of cardamom, it's really exotic and energising. Take my words.. your guests would remember this simply incredible taste on their tongue long after they have departed. If you have home grown rose plants, then serve it with a petal of freshly plucked rose and no matter what variety of juices and drinks your guests had in the past, this drink would be remembered with delight and longing...

Almond Milk Recipe:

Things you need:
To make 4 servings

100g blanched almonds or almond slivers
3 cups whole milk (full fat or low fat)
 1 cup pure water
1 tsp of cardamom seeds/elakka kuru
1 tsp rose essence / rose water
1/2 cup of sugar or to taste

To prepare:

Powder the blanched almonds or almond slivers in a food processor until fine. Add a little milk and grind to a fine paste. Now add the remaining milk, water, cardamom seeds, rose essence, and sugar and blend well in a blender. Serve chilled with a petal of rose on top or a few cardamom pods. As I have no rose flowers presently, I garnished it with cardamom pods.
Sip n cool your soul. Enjoy!
